Doctor visit

Well, I have returned from a visit to the orthopedist.  He is pleased with the range of motion I have with my arm, but he wants me to be careful with it.  He doesn't want me to do any lifting, and he specifically said that this includes weeding and lifting mulch, although he said I could weed with my left hand.  So the big news is that Harry is considering  having the landscapers put in plants and mulch after they build the walk and patio.  This break is getting very expensive.  The doctor compared my arm to a fragile teacup and said I couldn't do any lifting for  6 to 8 weeks.  Ugh!  I'm not getting a lot done around here.  The good news is that I had my first good night's sleep since the break last night.

I still have moments of sadness when I think of my Dad and the funeral service.  I still have to write the thank you notes for the flowers, but have all the other ones done.  The hardest one was to the man who did the service, but I tried to be gracious.  It's a good thing Harry didn't have to write it.  I don't think I want to repeat what he wanted to say.

Becky called when she got the letter from the lawyer about my Dad's will to ask what it meant.  I am glad she felt free to call.  Now that I know her number, I can call her, too.

Thank all you kids for coming to Colorado for the burial.  It meant a lot to have you there.  Dad says that the grandkids were just what I needed after the emotions of Kansas.

I will try to figure out how to post pictures.  I have a couple from Aunt Dottie's birthday party as well as the trip to Kansas and Denver.  Right now it is more urgent I figure out how to straighten out Rachel and Craig's taxes.

Thanks for your love and prayers.
