Harley Museum

On the way home from Omaha we visited with our friends Jim and Jean Stapelman. One thing the guys really wanted to do was visit the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. Harry and Jim had a great time!

Jim and Jean posed outside the museum with the giant motorcycle rider.

Date with Seth

Seth and I got to go on an outing to Pizza Machine. They have food there, but mostly they have lots of activities. Seth enjoyed his outing.

Here's our self portrait.

Seth enjoyed the frog jump so much he went twice.

Happy boy!

Anna in Omaha

Anna didn't get to fish, but she had a good time with Aunt Beccy's swiffer.

Fishing!

Beccy was blessed with a wonderful nurse who came out every day to clean her wound and change her bandages. Miss Kathy was a great friend to the whole family. She brought treats for the boys and provided good companionship to Beccy. What a blessing she was to all of us! One day she said that another patient had invited the boys to a fishing derby at a pond south of town. Sarah had come with the girls, so we took Beth, Seth, Leah and Gavin to the fishing derby. No fish were caught, but everyone had a good time, especially since all the children got prizes whether they caught fish or not! Papa Buzz was wonderful putting worms on the hook and untangling lines!

Here's everyone getting ready to fish.

Beth was our best fisherman. She even touched the worms!

Everyone got a try at the poles.

Here's a picture of Miss Kathy with the boys. They even fed the kids hot dogs and cupcakes with blue icing and gummy worms on them.

Two happy cousins

I even got in one of the shots.

Leah won the first prize. She loved her little animals.

Here's Beth with hers.

Seth thought he got the best prize with matchbox cars.

Gavin won a leopard hat. Here he is with Papa Buzz in his fishing hat.

We only fished about an hour, which was plenty for these small kids, but everyone had a great time.

Trip to the Children's Museum

While I was with Beccy, she couldn't take the boys anywhere, so I got the privilege of going with them several places. One was at the end of a three day preschool camp at a nearby church. The last day we went to the Omaha Children's Museum. They had a Clifford exhibit, which the boys loved.

Here are all the kids lined up to get their admission stamp.

Gavin loved driving Clifford's car.

The boys almost couldn't be dragged away from this conveyor belt that took bones up and down.

Gavin had a great time with the air blowing the balls up.

You can see how excited he got!

Seth liked the exhibit, too.

Seth really enjoyed hauling himself up on the pulley swing.

The kids missed having their mom take them places. They really like having fun with her.

Harry has been busy.

I haven't posted in a while because Harry and I have both been busy trying to get things here on some kind of schedule and to catch up on all the jobs Harry didn't have time for when he went to Findlay. So far he has fixed up a workspace for me to do crafts in the basement, helped me sort through all the files in the bedroom , done the taxes, and put up the wonderful pictures that my kids and grandkids made for us for Christmas. He has also done many small jobs like fix lights and repair broken things around the house. Here are a couple of pictures of his finished work.

Here's my awesome workspace. It even has lights installed over it! Thanks, Harry!

The kids made silhouettes of the grandkids and let the grandkids paint them. I think they make the office look elegant. The trouble is, I had to clear off the desk to take the picture, so now I need a place to sit since all the stuff is in the office chair! I love the pictures. Thanks to all of you.

Conversation

Conversation with Harry this morning: "It's hard living with two people who can't hear." "What" "IT'S HARD LIVING WITH TWO PEOPLE WHO CAN'T HEAR!" "What?" (grin)
AARGH!!
